Interpreter Workshops (Spring 2020)

LARC is pleased to present two interpreter workshops this spring.  The theme of the workshops is Interpreting in Immigration and Social Services Settings - Understanding the Challenges and Uniqueness of Interpreting in the Immigration and Social Service Field.

In each workshop participants will learn how to:

  • Identify commonly used terminology

  • Understand concepts and definitions

  • Reinforce interpreting needs in immigration and social services settings

  • Become more comfortable interpreting and navigating the immigration and social services world.

  • Nabil Sayed, International Patient Relations Specialist, University of Chicago Medicine and Trained Arabic Interpreter
